Letter from the Secretary General

Esteemed Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Staff,

Words can not begin to express the immense pleasure and honor with which I welcome you all to the 12^th annual iteration of Champlin College’s Model United Nations Conference.

It has been a great privilege to serve as Secretary-General and to watch this conference come to life as part of a community dedicated to expending and improving this conference. This year marks several exciting milestones for our conference, including our first-ever three-day conference and the introduction of our first Joint Crisis Committee, as we continue to offer an experience tailored to both new and experienced delegates. Whether this is your first experience with Model United Nations or an opportunity for you to refine your diplomatic skills, I encourage you to embrace everything CCMUN has to offer.

This year, we are proud to present a diverse range of committees designed to challenge, engage, and inspire every delegate. Whether you will be addressing the global issues of accessing clean water in the General Assembly, responding to  a destructive tsunami in the Special Agency, stepping into the shoes of a tribute in the Hunger Games, or exploring the Great Flood in a Crisis committee, we hope you leave this conference with unforgettable memories and valuable skills that will remain with you for years to come.

Truly, CCMUN is an opportunity to strengthen your critical thinking and collaboration skills in a space where every delegate is welcomed and valued. I encourage all of you to fully immerge yourselves into this experience and to view every committee session as an opportunity to learn and to grow.
