Letter from the secretary General
Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, Staffers,
It is with great excitement and honour that I welcome you to the 10th iteration of the Champlain College Model United Nations Conference. Leading this milestone conference is both a privilege and a thrill, and I am eager to embark on this journey with you all. Over the past decade, CCMUN has grown into a distinguished platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration among young leaders from around Montréal. This year, we continue to build on that tradition, creating an environment where delegates can engage deeply with pressing global issues and work together to forge innovative solutions. In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we have crafted a diverse and dynamic selection of committees. Our General Assembly will focus on the challenges that Space Exploration imposes on humanity, the specialized agency will dive into the internal turmoil plaguing France as of late, while our unique crisis simulation about the Hunger Games is designed to test creativity and problem-solving skills under pressure. A heartfelt thank you goes out to my dedicated Secretariat team, whose hard work and passion for Model United Nations have made this conference possible. I also want to extend my gratitude to all the staffers, sponsors, volunteers, faculty advisors, and delegates who contribute to the success of CCMUN 2024. Your support and enthusiasm are what make this conference truly exceptional.

My first MUN conference was at Champlain, and it was one of the best experiences I've had in the Montréal circuit to date. I can say foir certain it has changed me for the better. I became a more open and confident person because of committee but the most important outcome were the friends I met throughout the weekend. I still talk to these people to this day and I'm thankful to CCMUN for allowing me to establish these relationships. That being said, I encourage you all to take the time and get to know the people next to you in committee over the weekend. You won't regret it. I look forward to welcoming you to Champlain College for this short weekend. Here’s to a remarkable 10th iteration of CCMUN and to the impactful discussions and connections that lie ahead!
With gratitude,
Peter K.
